Youth Open Studio Passes are designed for students who have previously enrolled in a Youth Wheel Class and want to continue their pottery journey.

This is non-instructional time and prior enrollment in a Youth Class is required. Students should be able to set up, create, and clean up with little to no assistance.   • Can I sign my kid up for Open Studio if they have not previously taken a class at Clayboro?

    Youth Open Studio is designed especially for young artists who have previously enrolled in a multi-week class at Clayboro. We are unable to accommodate kids who have not taken a prior class with us.

    What’s included?

    Youth Open Studio includes 1.5 hours of non-instructional studio use, tools, 4lbs of clay, glazes, firings, and storage of works in progress for up to 1 week.

    Can I join my kid?

    Parents are welcome to stay and watch as their children create. Want to join in on the fun? Sign the whole family up for one of our Pottery 101 classes!

    Where can I park?

    You can take advantage of the free public parking located all around Carrboro.

    Parking deck located behind 300 E Main St.

    Parking lot located at 108 E Main St.

  • Clayboro Studios is not liable or responsible for any accidental injury to students or any loss or damage to personal possessions.

    Students must collect work within 30 days of their open studio date. After 30 days, pieces are subject to removal from the premises.

    Ceramics can be unpredictable. Sometimes things go wrong in the kiln. While we do all we can to keep your pieces safe, Clayboro Studios cannot guarantee satisfactory results.

  • Should you need to cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund if cancelation request is made at least 48 hours prior to class. Cancelations made within 48 hours of class are not eligible for a refund. There is a $20 fee for rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of original class time.
