  • What happens in the class?

Your instructor will demonstrate how to throw a bowl on the potter’s wheel. Each student will aim to create 2 unique pieces of their own. Students will select their glaze color, and we’ll take care of the rest!

When will my work be ready?

Ceramics can be a time consuming process. Your creations must go through a long drying period, glazing, and 2 kiln firings before they’ll be ready to take home. We promise it’s worth the wait.

    How do I prepare?

Wear comfortable clothes that you’re okay with getting little messy. The clay will wash out, but the memories last a lifetime.

Long hair? You’ll want to tie it back. Rings, watches, and bracelets can be tucked away for the duration of your class.

    Where can I park?

You can take advantage of the free public parking located all around Carrboro.

Parking deck located behind 300 E Main St.

Parking lot located at 108 E Main St.

Ceramics can be unpredictable. The goal is for each student to take home 2 completed pieces; however, sometimes things go wrong in the kiln. While we do all we can to keep your pieces safe, Clayboro Studios cannot guarantee satisfactory results.
