Looking for a space to create? Look no further! Open Studio Passes are available for folks with a pre-existing understanding of the entire ceramic making process who are seeking studio access. This is perfect for individuals who have already taken a multi-week course (either here or at another studio) and want to continue their pottery journey.

This is non-instructional time and a comprehensive understanding of the ceramic making and clean up process is required. Students should be able to set up, create, and clean up independently. String together multiple Open Studio sessions to throw and trim your work.
Open Studio participants are invited to return to Clayboro to glaze their work after it’s been fired.

Can I sign up for Open Studio if I have not previously taken a class at Clayboro?
Absolutely! As long as you have prior experience and a comprehensive understanding of how to safely operate in a pottery studio, you are welcome to sign up for Open Studio!
Can I come back to finish my pieces?
You may need to book multiple Open Studio sessions if you are wanting to come back to trim, refine, or create attachments to your work.
Glazes and glazing time are included in each Open Studio booking. You are welcome to return to Clayboro at no additional cost to glaze your pieces after they’ve been fired.
Where can I store my work between sessions?
We offer storage space for up to 1 week between Open Studio sessions. Pieces that are left longer than 1 week are subject to removal.

You can take advantage of the free public parking located all around Carrboro.
Parking deck located behind 300 E Main St.
Parking lot located at 108 E Main St.

Clayboro Studios is not liable or responsible for any accidental injury to students or any loss or damage to personal possessions.
Students must collect work within 30 days of their open studio date. After 30 days, pieces are subject to removal from the premises.
Ceramics can be unpredictable. Sometimes things go wrong in the kiln. While we do all we can to keep your pieces safe, Clayboro Studios cannot guarantee satisfactory results.

Should you need to cancel your booking, you will receive a full refund if cancelation request is made at least 48 hours prior to class. Cancelations made within 48 hours of class are not eligible for a refund. There is a $20 fee for rescheduling requests made within 48 hours of original class time.
